Reflections

It was helpful to go through old work and remember what I did when I was a freshman. I think it's good to go back at your old work sometimes so that you can possibly get inspiration for a project. But the whole process took a long time and was kind of boring. -Wed. 5/4

Although, creating the On Display page took sometime it was easy because I knew what I wanted on that page. I figured out what I wanted on it while I was creating my Archives page. -Fri.5/6

I like going back and reviewing what I've done during the past term. I found that this Self Assessment went faster than the last 3.  I think that having this portfolio helps a lot with that. -Tues. 5/10

I think that these first two weeks have been fun but kind of boring.  I know that we have the first inquiry block that we have been working on but I have just wanted to start projects and BOLTS that are more interesting to me. -Fri. 8/19

This week we started the first  BOLTS, and we also started our second inquiry question. I'm in two BOLTS. Got Art? and Extreme Numbers. So far those are both fun and very interesting to me. -Fri. 9/2

This week I have researched more of my inquiry block question. I have also completed what I have to do for my BOLT so far.  -Wed. 9/7

Can you believe that there have been stories about Bigfoot for many centuries? There are drawings on the cave walls that the Native Americans drew about the "wild men" aka Bigfoot. There have been stories about "wild men" all around the world. The only continent that doesn't have any stories about bigfoot or any "wild men"  is Antarctica.-Tues. 9/13

This week we finished our first go around of BOLTS. I really liked the bolt I was in, Extreme Numbers, because we talked about all kinds of numbers.  One of our conversations was about the difference of infinite and infinity, and if infinity was a concept or a number.

-Fri. 9/16

Today we went to the Denver Art Museum. I had a lot of fun and I thought it was really cool to see how all the different cultures expressed their culture through their art and how each culture seemed to have a popular theme in their artwork. I also enjoyed looking at all the types of art forms (Paintings, drawings, sculpture, pottery, etc.) We also got to do a scavenger hunt which I think was really fun to do. My favorite piece was called "Victory Celebrations". It was created in 1919 by Sir Claude Francis Barry.  -Wed. 9/28

At the beginning of the week I planned out what I needed to get done and that really helped me stay on task and really focus on the work I needed to complete. Although I planned out my week and got a lot done there were somethings that I didn’t accomplish this week. The highlight of my week this week was probably going to the Denver Art Museum because I really enjoyed looking at all the different types of art from all the different cultures and realizing their similarities and their differences. I am going to plan out everything I need to do each week and make sure a get everything done.-Fri. 9/30

This week seemed like it went by really slow at some points and fast at others.

I feel like I got a lot done this week.

Guided Inquiry Block, Visualize This Bolt, edited my portfolio, started Nanowrimo. Nanowrimo is National Novel writing Month.-Fri. 11/4

Wow! I can't believe I am halfway through my junior year already! The past eighteen weeks have flown by. Check out my reflection on the past eighteen weeks here. -Wed. 12/14

This semester I want to get at least 5.5 credit. I am going to start off this term by continuing on with my empathy guided inquiry as well as starting a new one called Little House, Big Living. I am also going to do the 3-D BOLT.  For the next six weeks I am going to be working on my two Inquiry Blocks and a BOLT.  Wed. 1/4
